Gretna Public Schools logo with a "G" and text reading Citizens Committee

For more than two decades, the Gretna Public Schools Citizens Committee has played a vital role in shaping the future of education in our community. Now, we’re inviting more voices—especially parents—to pull up a chair and join the conversation.

The Citizens Committee serves as a bridge between the district and the community, providing a space for open dialogue, thoughtful questions, and meaningful feedback. Members offer insights, share ideas, and help ensure our schools continue to meet the needs of every student and family in Gretna.

“We deeply value the perspectives of our community,” said a district representative. “This committee helps keep our schools strong and connected, and we’re excited to welcome new participants who are passionate about making a difference.”

If you're interested in joining the Citizens Committee, please complete the interest form linked below. A representative from the district will follow up with more information.
